OttawaGeo2007: The Diamond Jubilee Conference

The Canadian Geotechnical Society (CGS), and the Canadian National Chapter of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH-CNC) invite you to join us in Ottawa during the splendour of the autumn colours at the Diamond Jubilee Canadian Geotechnical Conference and the 8th Joint CGS/IAH-CNC Groundwater Conference. The Conference will be held at the Ottawa Westin Hotel from October 21-24, 2007

The conference theme "Breaking Ground in the Nation's Capital" reflects this annual conference's continued tradition of providing a forum for recent research developments and advancements in geotechnical engineering and hydrogeology.

As a Diamond Jubilee, the conference will be a celebration of the last 60 years of geotechnical engineering accomplishments and of continued innovation in addressing complex geotechnical and hydrogeological challenges. In addition to the technical program and plenary sessions, the conference will include a complement of local tours, workshops and short courses. The national capital's cultural institutions will form the backdrop for the conference's social program promising a combined display of natural beauty and cultural heritage.
